The point is that depfile does not seem to care about uploaders messing around on a platform that is otherwise friendly towards that file host.

They won't get banned for having bad uploaders. They are going to get banned for not doing anything about those uploaders.

This seems to me to be a question of who rather than how -

if this forum is unhappy with the conduct of certain posters to the forum then it is for the management/moderators to apply the current T&Cs. *edit~ and ban the posters ~end edit*

if the current T&Cs do not cover the activity causing an issue then they should be re-written to take into account new problems.

Hosts do have a responsibility with regard to the content they hold but surely not with regard to where and how the uploaders set up links to that content.

Banning the preferred host of rogue posters will just prompt those posters to continue the activity that is causing a problem to use a different host and the problem here will continue.

the posters that piss me off the most are the ones that make "premium only" links - but that is a mainly budget related issue. I simply cannot afford to consider subscribing.

Don't get me wrong, i think there are many reasons as to why you should and could ban several file hosts, especially depfile. But the reasoning in this thread should not be the reason behind a ban.

It also seems like most people have a problem with premium only links, not with depfile per se. But are premium only uploads banned or forbidden here?

Ummm..... by MY personal views, and by the LAWS in THE US... the "non nude forum(s)" are nothing but!

I've long advocated for a TRUE NON NUDE forum WITHOUT all the silver, "modeling" etc. filth to no avail.

That forum if you look at the hit counts on the threads is 3-4-5 to 10X what a thread in the other forums get.


So I am all for the ZERO TOLERANCE on the filth, AND banning anything that hosts it!

They do get banned here but keep re-registering. In such cases one contacts the file host and requests the uploader to be banned or warned.

He is most likely referring to hardcore underage child pornography depfile is hosting and is available on most websites having jailbait sections. File.al and salefiles.com are other hosts partaking in this.

I never use depfile, as I have a paid Rapidgator account, but I like the idea of going after the abusers individually rather than banning any hosting service as is being advocated here.

I specifically asked Mods and members if everything and anything as far as the content on this site was now legal in the US under the new rules and site content purge and I was given a unanimous YES in discussion. Were you merely exaggerating due to strong personal feelings about those galleries that are still present right now or was it that I was given incorrect assurances by those Mods and members for reasons unknown?

Regarding non-nude and models aged 13-17: we do not allow any nudity, inappropriate sexual poses or content of models of whom is known were forced into the business. We also remove all content shot by webmasters who were prosecuted or are tied to distributing and/or producing underage pornography. What is left is rather tame non-nude material no longer causing any problems. It is safe to say you can browse NN material safely on VG but it definitely is not on most other websites with NN material.

While the NN section on VG only accounts for 15% of its total traffic, the section in itself is more popular than most dedicated NN forums. That comes with a certain responsibility and that comes in the form of cooperating with agencies battling the distribution of CSAM (child sexual abuse material). If you want to be safe and post NN material elsewhere, follow the non-nude rules on VG. They are proofed. This may come as a surprise but I can state for a fact there are numerous NN websites and forums acting as honey pots. Do yourself a favor and stick to moderated and controlled environments like ViperGirls.

You shouldn't draw conclusions like that. A good number of banned models simply did not meet our minimum age requirement or whose age could not be established.

DepFile and Depositfiles are two different hosting services. I agree that Depositfiles is fine; I actually wish more people used it here.
