Re: IMX.to - support
I did some testing too.
Let's say you have a gallery of 40 images, each 5 MB. The first 1 MB of each image downloads as fast as your connection (or the image host) allows. The remaining 4 MB is capped at about 1 MB/s per download. With 4 downloads at a time per IP, your steady speed is about 4 MB/s (32 Mbit/s). Because the first 1 MB of each file comes in faster, the average works out to about 4.5–5 MB/s. That means the whole 200 MB gallery takes about 40–45 seconds. If your own connection is slower than about 32 Mbit/s, the limit doesn't affect you, and your connection is the bottleneck.
Also, I'm pretty sure i.imx.to is uncapped because some big test images downloaded at 4gbit/sec+ which is quite insane. But it also makes sense as it appears their i.imx.to domain is exclusively used for new uploads or at least recent uploads. I see October and November uploads are served over this domain but September for example is hitting i02.imx.to which is definitely capped.
If you test with VPN, use a VPN provider that bases its usage % on bandwidth going in/out and not 'load'. Go for low ping VPN servers as these often provide faster total speeds. With ProtonVPN for example, the fastest VPN is rarely the fastest in terms of ping or maximum download speeds because they don't base their load rating on port capacity used.

Re: IMX.to - support
So I don't understand the technical discussions, but I played a little with imx this morning.
I started with three posts:
https://viper.cx/threads/16454619-Lu...mber-06-2026
https://viper.cx/threads/16454602-An...mber-07-2026
https://viper.cx/threads/16453928-Ch...umsideration
Using VRipper, it downloaded the first image - the large cover image - correctly and everything else as just the thumbnail.
I then dowloaded these three posts:
https://viper.cx/threads/16453975-Su...ock-11-06-26
https://viper.cx/threads/16454553-Ha...x-11-07-2026
https://viper.cx/threads/16454450-Em...x-11-07-2026
Using VRipper, these all downloaded perfectly.
Note the difference - the three that did not download correctly all started with a full size cover image. The three that did download correctly, had no cover image.
So perhaps a temporary fix would be not to include cover images from imx posts. There may be other differences in the posts, but I can't see the exact post code.
Now onto changes I've seen in uploads:
When I drag a number of images to post into IMX, it used to upload one image at a time. Now it uploads four at a time.
But the issue I've seen is it also reorders the images you drag into the upload box. IMX used to - at least for me - just upload images in the order you presented them. Forx example, in a 200 image upload, image_1, image_2, image_3, etc.
Now, it reorders the images and uploads them image_1, image_10, image_100, etc. I work around this manually, but is anyone else seeing this?
So much odd stuff going on.

If you enable the "Order Images" checkbox in the advanced options, the download functions correctly. (For me)
